Our Daily LIfe and Home Kitty has a king and a queen bed in her room and we all sleep with her but I have the spot up at her head with her pillow and Devin usually sleeps at Kitty's feet. All of us want to be on the Queen bed where Kitty sleeps but of course we all can't. So some of us have to be on the king bed. Sometimes when too many of us get on the Queen bed as we do not mind laying on each other we wake Kitty up. She gets up, turns the light on and makes us all get off the bed and than she jumps into the bed and we all settle around her. We have 5 acres to romp on but prefer to lounge on the couch. We do have plenty of dog beds but you see GD are not meant to be on the floor so prefer the couch or the human beds. We have lots of grass and 125 trees on our property so their is lots of shade. kitty loves plants and next to us they are her passion so she has spent lots of money putting up 4 foot rod iron fencing around her flower beds. You see plants for some reason do not like us lying on them but they are so soft and cool. Our homestead is called Dog Creek and the low spot on the property is named Dog Creek but never has any water in it. In 2006 we had a very wet winter and Kitty was out in the pouring rain getting pictures of water in her creek so she could put it up on the web site. Humans are such silly beings sometimes. We like getting visitors at home and love it when there are puppies because we get more people visiting. We love going to the clinic and take turns. Although we like to bark at the dogs coming in just so that they know whose clinic it is. Sometimes it scares the little dogs and sometimes the little dogs growl at us. Some of our favorite things to do are number one sleeping. We do like to go and romp in our huge yard and bark at the passers by. Sometimes when Kitty watches us slam dunking into each other she gets worried we will hurt ourselves. We all love to chase little animals and when we first moved in we chased a possum,2 wild cats and a raccoon off the property. Not anymore the only things that come in the yard now are snakes, frogs and birds. We have chased the coyotes away also because even though we are in a fence they think that we are a wolf pack. All Kitty's neighbors like that. I am not much for playing with toys and I feel that I am above that. Devin, Magic, Eragon and Legacy love playing with toys but Devin feels that rope toys are too small and likes to use pillows or sheets to throw up in the air. Three times he has destroyed her feather pillows and believe me she was not happy cleaning up that mess. The King of the Toys is Titan and he always seems to have a big soft toy in his mouth and never gets tired of Kitty throwing it. Kitty buys us big knuckle bones to chew on and I much prefer them. They can be dangerous though when Kitty stubs her toe on them in the middle of the night. |

Kitty likes to do performance events with us and I am the star with 5 obedience titles. Kitty says the best way to look like a fool is to do obedience. I don't know why she says that just because we like to play games with her. With me Kitty had to entice me with special treats like cheesecake because you cannot give bait in the obedience ring. Devin has done well in obedience but he really loves carting. When Kitty brings out his harness he starts jumping up and down and talking like crazy. They tried to get me to do it but I just would not have it, I am no beast of burden. Magic's special talent is opening gates and doors and Kitty has had to put clips on all the gates. |

A great obedience story was when I got my CDX at the Cow Palace. Now obedience is done in the pit and their are a lot of people watching. I was a crowd pleaser and Kitty made me wear a jeweled collar. So the first day I got my 3rd leg on my CDX but the next day when I knew what it was all about I had my own adgenda. So I go into the ring with a diamond studded collar and Kitty throws the dumbbell and I move out very slowly panning the crowd the whole time. I stand over the dumbbell and slowly pick it up as I return to her. It got worse from than on and I was more interested in making the crowd laugh and cheer than in doing what Kitty wanted. When we were doing the long down I layed there with my front legs crossed and moved my head from side to side sweeping the crowd. Kitty said I should have had a tiara and a pink cadillac. People came up to us at the bench and said oh there is the Queen. |
